To ensure our research has the greatest positive impact, we focus on understanding and developing the conditions of innovation around the use of the internet. Our Development Research programme focuses on four key elements of innovation:

"...the application of new ideas, generated at the intersection of insight and invention, that leads to social or economic value."

Every investment we make is part of a cycle of research and discovery. We aim to learn from each of our partners, and the projects we invest in, and use this knowledge to shape the partnerships we build,  the investments we make, the areas in which we work and the types of support we offer.

By sharing this knowledge, we hope to drive positive change and demonstrate how using the internet can generate wide-scale change.
