Thursday 4 July will see the launch of Badge The UK, a new initiative that will enable young people to demonstrate their skills and talents to potential employers using Mozilla Open Badges – an open source set of code buildings blocks launched by Mozilla in 2011 to allow anyone, even with minimal computer programming experience, to underline their own and others’ achievements, be they educational, entrepreneurial, or artistic. Since 2011, the badges have been adapted for internal use by NASA and Disney-Pixar in the US.  more >
