Dr Clive Grace OBE steps down as Chair of Nominet Trust

Dr Clive Grace OBE will be stepping down from his role as Chair of Nominet Trust in October – the end of his term of appointment.  Clive’s enthusiasm for the work of the Trust is evident and we are very grateful for the energy and commitment he has demonstrated in leading our Board.

Clive said:  “Over the past year the Trust has achieved a very great deal. The momentum we have built up will be maintained and I will be supporting the transition to the new Chair.  During the summer there will also be appointments of new and additional Trustees to add to the Board and the Trust’s capacity.  For my part, I was pleased to be asked by fellow Trustees and the Nominet Board to continue as Chair, but in the event a fresh appointment will enable the new Chair to lead and implement the next phase of the Trust’s work across the next 3 years.

The new Chair will be a very fortunate person.  S/he will lead the Board of an outstanding charitable organisation with a tremendous track record of achievement, a strong and vibrant relationship with its corporate parent, and a great team to deliver its objectives.  I look forward to welcoming that person. The Trust can look forward to the continued success which it so richly deserves for all the innovation, impact, and public benefit which it has accomplished so far, and for the even greater accomplishment which lies ahead.”

Baroness Rennie Fritchie DBE, Chair of Nominet said: "Our thanks to Clive for his committed stewardship of Nominet Trust, which has seen the organisation continue to play a vital role supporting inspiring 'tech for good' initiatives."

The search for Clive’s replacement is being managed by GatenbySanderson.
