Find a bigger life online during this years Get online week

Get online week 2012 takes place from 15 - 21 October, and this year the theme is “Find a bigger life online”. The campaign aims to encourage people, whatever their level of skill, to come along to a Get online week event and to find out how they can do more online.

This October, 3.000 events will be taking place throughout the country. At Nominet Trust, we will be joining up with UK Online Centres in Liverpool and hosting Get Online activities at the Our Digital Planet exhibition.  And now you can get involved too!

By signing up to the campaign, you'll receive a marketing pack full of handy materials that you can use out in your community to promote the campaign, a toolkit of useful templates and guides to help you make the most of the campaign, and your event will be promoted via the Get online week database. Get online week will be supported by a national marketing campaign that will encourage people to discover more about how the internet can help them find a bigger life, and there will be a real buzz around improving your online skills this Autumn. 

Registration is open to everyone, and all you’ll have to do to take part in the campaign is hold an event or activity in your local community to support people to improve their skills.  You can sign up now for the campaign via the UK online centres' website. Packs will be sent out on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up soon to make sure you get your hands on your pack in plenty of time!
