London, 5 July: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the finalists in a nation-wide game design competition for 10-18 year-olds, as chosen by a jury of industry experts. The winners will be revealed at a special awards ceremony held at BAFTA’s headquarters, 195 Piccadilly in London on Saturday 23 July, which will be attended by the 50 finalists who represent 40 games as individuals, pairs or teams of three.  more >

London, UK – Eight new tech for good ventures are set to receive a total of £388,000 from Nominet Trust, the leading tech for good investor in the UK, it was announced today. The winning ventures topped almost 250 applications for early-stage investment through Nominet Trust’s Social Tech Seed funding programme, which is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs develop tech for social good.  more >

London, 28 January: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the call for entries for the 2016 BAFTA Young Game Designers (YGD) competition in association with Nominet Trust, which aims to inspire the UK’s game designers and game-makers of the future by giving young people the chance to design and make their own game. The winners will be named at a special awards ceremony in July attended by stars of the games industry. Entries are now open at www.bafta.org/ygd and will close at 16:00 on Friday 3 June.  more >
