Monday 11 November 2013: Eastern Enterprise Hub, the ‘go to’ centre for early stage entrepreneurs in the East of England, has launched e-connect, a new online resource giving free support and mentoring to young people wanting to set up their own business.

To date the Eastern Enterprise Hub has helped support entrepreneurs build business and employment opportunities across the East of England by equipping students with all the business knowledge, confidence and connections they will need to create a successful enterprise. Today, with additional funding from Nominet Trust, it has been able to extend that offer to young people who would benefit from continued support and mentoring with their new online tool, e-connect.
When we conceived of the NT100 our starting point was the simple recognition that around the world digital technologies are being deployed in amazing ways to solve intractable social problems: social exclusion, lack of access to healthcare, education, culture, community; disenfranchisement; abuses of human rights.
We were already aware of a pretty sizeable number of inspiring projects but also conscious that for every innovation we had come across, there were probably many more that were unknown to us. We felt that little had been done to build a truly global picture.
The NT100 represents an authoritative global list of the most inspiring applications of digital technology for social good.

London, November 8th: From fighting human trafficking with data to harnessing the power of the crowd to beat cancer, 100 inspiring uses of technology to tackle the world’s biggest problems have been revealed as part of a new social enterprise initiative.
The Nominet Trust 100, or NT100, is the most comprehensive, up-to-date and authoritative global list of the most inspiring applications of digital technology for social good.
