Thanks to Nominet Trust, we are now in a position to build on our excellent yet humble beginnings as a small-scale North London pilot and extend the Trading Times service and expand across all of London and beyond. Our ambition is for Trading Times to be recognised as a highly valued UK-wide social enterprise, delivering meaningful social impact at scale. Yet how do we do this? Trading Times is an online platform that connects plus50s, carers & single parents with flexible work opportunities with local employers.
We’ve come to the end of our pilot phase now, and actually, the things that we thought could be concerns weren’t, and the things we hadn’t even thought about got brought to our attention. The main question that kept coming up was… what exactly can we call a job nowadays?!
We Are The Million started out as an idea: If we helped small businesses raise funds to grow, over time that growth would lead to new jobs being created.
It's an exciting time for e-connect, because we are now promoting our project! As all the students have returned,we are now marketing the project far and wide to local schools, colleges and education providers. We have sent out packs (full of brochures and business cards) for students so they can find out about e-connect, to explore and discover the many videos we have.
