Young people, mobile phones and help seeking

YouthNet has completed the first stage of a research project funded by the Nominet Trust that looks at how young people use mobile devices to meet their support needs. The research, involving more than 1,000 young people, consisted of online focus groups, an online survey, and offline workshops. more >

We’re over the moon to announce that we have received funding from Nominet Trust to develop our 360-degree strengths feedback tool for young people. Alongside this award we are launching FLiP as a new social venture working with youth-led organisations to deliver scalable digital solutions tackling youth unemployment. It’s exciting times!

Building a platform: What I learned (the hard way)

At the end of 2010, CDI Apps for Good received a grant from Nominet Trust to develop an e-learning and networking platform to support and scale the Apps for Good programme. The funding provided for an 18-month project scope and build of our organisation’s first product. The project taught me valuable lessons about product management, particularly when building a product essential to your organisation’s survival.
