Building scalable and sustainable investments

We place a high value on sustainable and scalable projects that have the potential to make a significant difference to the greatest number of people. We recognise that a mix of approaches is required within each of our programmes to create maximum impact.

Our success lies in the strength of our partnerships. We work closely with foundations, NGOs, investors and commercial organisations across the UK and internationally to extend the reach and impact of the social investments that we make.

You can find out about active partnerships by using the direct links in the left hand navigation.  Below are a few more partnerships we are involved with:

Digital Makers

We are currently working with Nesta to find ways to equip our young people to be confident contributors and makers, able to harness and control digital technology to positively engage socially and economically with their communities.

Nesta's landmark Next Gen report argued for the incorporation of computer science as a rigorous academic discipline within the national curriculum.  In partnership with Nesta and Futurelab at NFER, we are developing a programme that takes this forward by supporting a new generation of learners to make sense of information online and to become active in their use of, and contribution to, the digital world.

Exploring potential new ways in Giving

We are very excited about working with Big Society Network and NESTA to create a new venture promoting technology enabled philanthropy.

Spring will focus on exploring how we use technology to give and raise money, time and expertise in the UK. Providing a much needed focal point for research, development and thought leadership in this area. We will be learning from the approaches already out there and exploring the opportunities for innovation. The programme will also provide support and guidance to budding social entrepreneurs.
