We're delighted to announce that the winner of the RSA / Nominet Trust Film Competition Award and the £2,000 first prize is Marija Jacimovic and Benoit Detalle’s stop-motion film of Food Rules.
Inspired by the RSAnimate series of animations, budding filmmakers were invited to bring RSA talks to life in innovative and exciting new ways through our short-film competition.
Entrants were tasked with creating a 30-second visual interpretation of a five-minute excerpt selected from the RSA’s events programme, using any creative techniques they wanted.
Short films came in from all over the world and demonstrated an outstanding level of creativity. After many hours of deliberation, our expert judging panel agreed on the final top five contenders, which were then put to the public vote.
Over the 3 weeks of public voting we received over 3,000 votes and the films themselves had over 35,000 views.
The final results were:
- Marija & Benoit – Food Rules
- Francisco Park – Food Rules
- Diane Fung – Collaborative Consumption
- Korok Chatterjee - Social Animal
- Tomas Flodr – Social Animal
Congratulations to our winners, and a huge thanks to all five finalists for their inspirational work.
