A new project in the east of England is aiming to help young people bring their dreams closer to reality by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence required to set up and run a business.
 

The Eastern Enterprise Hub’s e-connect project will deliver an innovative and structured programme of learning using digital resources. It will use a combination of face-to-face learning, online e-learning resources, e-mentoring and virtual action learning sets to encourage and help young people to develop an understanding of core business skills and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

Boadening business knowledge
Supported by Nominet Trust, the e-connect project will benefit would-be entrepreneurs as well as young people who are conscious of their own professional development and keen to acquire wider business knowledge.

The project will facilitate mentoring and knowledge sharing through an established network of high-level business partners. Personal development will be driven by the creation of an online peer-to-peer community of young student entrepreneurs, as well as e-mentoring from business leaders and virtual action learning.
