Solutions to social challenges
A new initiative is enabling social enterprises to work with IT developers and tap into the power of digital technologies to devise solutions to social challenges.

Rewired Reality is an online platform created by Rewired State with support from Nominet Trust. It gives the creators of potentially valuable social ideas easy and cost-effective access to the skills and knowledge of an IT developer, so they can get the expertise they need to make those ideas a reality.

At the same time, the initiative addresses the rigid employment structures that make it difficult and expensive for IT developers to reach the social enterprises that are in need of their services.

Credits for creativity
Users are able to post challenges, problems and jobs on Rewired Reality – any issue that can be solved by using the skills and knowledge of an IT developer.

Alongside each challenge, they are required to place a small and affordable ‘bounty’, which is then credited by Rewired Reality to reward participating IT developers who are proven to be working together and using digital technologies to provide solutions to social challenges.
