Rich and engaging experience

Amid concerns of high youth unemployment in the UK, SS3 Ventures has devised a new way to engage young people with the idea of developing the skills they need for their desired career and improving their employability prospects ahead of the game.

GamePlan is a social media application that helps young people break down their goals into everyday and manageable steps. Developed within FaceBook, it provides a rich and engaging experience for users, delivered on a platform that is already familiar to them.

Peer-to-peer mentoring

Developed with funding from Nominet Trust, GamePlan supports social mobility by increasing awareness among young people of the resources, information and support for employment and enterprise that is available to them in their local communities.

The application also offers peer-to-peer mentoring, using social media to build communities that enable young people to help, support, encourage and mentor one another in their desired goals.

A series of challenges and tasks within GamePlan help participants to up-skill and improve their suitability and employability for their desired career, with progress being recorded automatically. The fact that these challenges and tasks can be set with in the application means that Gameplan can be used in any educational, entrepreneurial or employment context.
