A new partnership has been launched between The No Way Trust and Nominet Trust to help protect vulnerable young people across the UK.

The Staying Safe Online project sets out to help protect young people when they’re using the internet by educating them about the risks involved. It will be delivered in over 150 secondary schools across England & Wales.

Education and information

Staff trained by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection agency (CEOP) will help educate and inform young people of the dangers that they face when they’re online and what steps they can to take to remain safe at all times.

The project builds on an existing programme of crime and safety awareness days delivered by The No Way Trust. Staffed by volunteers who are all serving and retired prison officers and prison teachers, the programme is designed to encourage a positive decision-making process that effectively reduces or removes the possibility of offending behaviour.

Innovative techniques

The No Way Trust – more commonly known as ‘Prison, Me? No Way!’ – is an award-winning national educational charity that works with young people aged 8-18. It was set up by prison officers who wanted to raise awareness among young people of the ultimate consequences of crime.

The charity uses innovative educational techniques to educate young people about prison life, discourage from making a mistake that could ruin their lives, encourage them to take responsibility for their actions, and help them make a success of their lives.
