Limitless Travel: unlocking travel for disabled people

Limitless Travel logo
Thanks to the internet most travellers can instantly book a hotel at the swipe of their smartphone. But for people living with disabilities, arranging accommodation isn’t so easy. The only information most online booking platforms offer is a ‘wheelchair access’ tick-box – which research shows is only useful to around 8% of disabled people.

Limitless Travel is a new online platform which aims to make it much easier for disabled travellers to search and compare accommodation that suits them. It offers the ease-of-use of a TripAdvisor-style site, plus disability-friendly city guides, attraction listings and community advice designed to bring each location to life for people with disabilities, mobility issues, the elderly and their friends, families and carers.

Breaking down barriers

By providing consistent and easy-to-access information about accommodation, Limitless Travel aims to break down the barriers to travel. Limitless Travel have taken advice on different requirements from organisations like Scope, Age UK and RNIB, so users can tailor their search to cover needs ranging from hearing impairment to wheelchair accessibility.

Nominet Trust are funding Limitless Travel to develop this exciting idea further while keeping the social mission at its core to truly open up accessible travel.
